On<\/span> December<\/span> 5, 2024, <\/span>the<\/span> EdUP<\/span> project<\/span> held<\/span> its Steering Committee<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0meeting<\/span>. <\/span>Attendees<\/span> included<\/span> representatives<\/span> from<\/span> the<\/span> Ministry<\/span> of<\/span> Education<\/span> and<\/span> Science<\/span> of<\/span> Ukraine<\/span>, <\/span>the<\/span> Embassy<\/span> of<\/span> Switzerland<\/span>, <\/span>private<\/span> businesses<\/span>, <\/span>educational<\/span> institutions<\/span>, <\/span>and<\/span> the<\/span> project<\/span> team<\/span>. <\/span>The<\/span> meeting<\/span> was<\/span> chaired<\/span> by<\/span> Nataliya<\/span> Yuklyaevska<\/span>, <\/span>Head<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> Steering Committee<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and<\/span> Director<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> “<\/span>Regional<\/span> Center<\/span> for<\/span> Professional <\/span>Education<\/span> in<\/span> Innovative<\/span> Construction<\/span> and<\/span> Industry<\/span> Technologies” <\/span>in<\/span> Kharkiv<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Project Achievements Overview<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

During the meeting, participants reviewed the project’s progress in 2024. Dmytro Zavhorodnii, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, highlighted significant advancements in improving vocational education infrastructure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\u201cThis is the only project co-financed by the Swiss government, the Ukrainian government, and the private sector. Through the collaboration of businesses, the state, and educational institutions, we are achieving outstanding results. For instance, 60% of graduates from institutions working with EdUP are already employed.\u201d \t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Business representatives underlined the importance of their involvement in the project, highlighting their active support of vocational education through equipment donations, material supplies, and training organization. They expressed pride in being part of such a significant initiative, emphasizing that supporting vocational education is not only an investment in educational institutions but also a contribution to rebuilding the country. They noted that their collaborative efforts were helping to create innovative solutions that benefit both students and employers.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Key Decisions<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

One of the critical items on the agenda was amending theSteering Committee<\/span><\/span>‘s statute. Participants approved the inclusion of a business representative from the project’s Advisory Business Council into the Steering Committee<\/span><\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Serhiy Arkhypov, t<\/span>he Director of Vocational School No. 21 in Mykolaiv, was elected Chair of the Steering Committe<\/span><\/span>\u00a0for the next reporting period.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Plans for 2025<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Key priorities for the coming year include the renovation of shelters and thermal modernization of educational buildings, expanding short-term adult education courses, launching new qualification centers, and intensifying collaboration with the business sector. Plans also include introducing innovative teaching materials and further developing institutional infrastructure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
