On <\/span>March 5-7<\/span>, as part of the <\/span>EdUP<\/span> project, the training <\/span>“Effective Communications for Vocational Education Institutions”<\/span> was held, bringing together <\/span>29 vocational education institution leaders<\/span> \u2013 project partners.<\/span> <\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The training was part of EdUP\u2019s comprehensive support for vocational education institutions in <\/span>building effective collaboration with businesses, attracting applicants, and shaping a positive image of vocational education<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Training Program: Practical Knowledge for Effective Communications<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The event’s program included:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u2705 <\/span>Training on developing a communication strategy<\/span> for vocational education institutions;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u2705 <\/span>Practical sessions on building partnerships<\/span> with businesses;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u2705 <\/span>Interactive masterclasses on effective communication<\/span> and engaging target audiences.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In addition to the main training modules, a <\/span>roundtable discussion, “Partnership Dialogue: Project Initiatives and Their Scaling Pathways,”<\/span><\/b> was held before the School began. EdUP experts presented key areas of work and emphasized the importance of <\/span>communication in public-private partnerships<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The trainers were experts from the <\/span>Ukrainian Center for Social Engineering<\/span>, who provided a high-quality combination of <\/span>theory and practical exercises<\/span>. Participants learned key aspects of <\/span>strategic communications<\/span>, including:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\ud83d\udd39 <\/span>Attracting applicants<\/span><\/b>: how to engage with youth on relevant platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Telegram);<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\ud83d\udd39 <\/span>Branding and positioning<\/span><\/b> the institution as a <\/span>modern educational hub<\/span><\/b>;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\ud83d\udd39 <\/span>Overcoming stereotypes<\/span><\/b> about vocational education and enhancing its prestige;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Additionally, participants learned how to <\/span>develop communication strategies, plan information campaigns, manage social media, analyze the competitive environment, and tailor messages for different target audiences<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At<\/span> the<\/span> same<\/span> time<\/span>, <\/span>the<\/span> trainer<\/span> highlighted<\/span> <\/span>certain<\/span> weaknesses<\/span><\/span> in<\/span> the<\/span> communication<\/span> efforts<\/span> of<\/span> vocational<\/span> education<\/span> institutions<\/span>. <\/span>In<\/span> pa<\/span>rticular<\/span>, <\/span>th<\/span>ey<\/span> mainly<\/span> focus<\/span> on<\/span> <\/span>parents<\/span> via<\/span> Facebook<\/span><\/span>, <\/span>while<\/span> <\/span>not<\/span> engaging<\/span> young<\/span> people<\/span><\/span> on<\/span> platforms<\/span> where<\/span> they<\/span> spend<\/span> most<\/span> of<\/span> their<\/span> time<\/span> \u2013 <\/span>TikTok<\/span> and<\/span> Instagram<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

They are an integral part of business processes because business is about people, and vocational education shapes these people at all stages. Thus, vocational education is becoming a kind of educational hub where businesses seek new talent. Vocational education institution leaders praised the <\/span>high level of organization<\/span><\/b> of the training and its <\/span>practical value<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
