EdUP Launches National Training Course to Develop Standardised Vocational Education Programmes<\/strong><\/h6>

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the EdUP project has launched a comprehensive training course to support the development of standardised educational programmes for vocational training institutions across the country.<\/p>

Running from May 7 to July 11, 2025, the course brings together 125 educators and methodologists<\/strong> from 30 vocational schools<\/strong> and 25 regional educational and methodological centres<\/strong>. The initiative will result in the creation of 50 model programmes<\/strong> for various types of training: initial education, reskilling, upskilling, and short-term courses tailored to current labour market demands and the reconstruction needs of Ukraine.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Building Capacity for Modern Programme Design<\/h6>

The course aims to strengthen the capacity of vocational educators to design modern, flexible training programmes that align with labour market needs. The focus is on:<\/p>

  • Modular structures<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

  • Partial or micro-qualifications<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

  • Workload calculation based on the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    A Hybrid Learning Format<\/h6>

    The course is delivered in a blended format, combining:<\/p>

    • Online learning: lectures, consultations, and independent study<\/p><\/li>

    • Offline practical sessions: programme development in pairs<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      In-person sessions are held in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Rivne<\/strong>, where participants work with laptops or tablets to co-develop training programmes for specific professions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      What Is Being Developed<\/h6>

      Participants are creating standard vocational programmes for 30 professions<\/strong>, including:<\/p>

      • 12 professions directly supported by EdUP<\/p><\/li>

      • 18 complementary or related occupations<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

        Each programme will include a modular structure, clearly defined learning outcomes, descriptions of partial qualifications, and ECTS-based workload calculations. Throughout the course, participants receive ongoing support from trainers, access to templates, guidelines, and online consultations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        By the End of the Course<\/h6>

        By mid-July, the course is expected to produce:<\/p>

        • 30 model training programmes<\/strong> for key professions<\/p><\/li>

        • 100 potential programme developers<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

        • At least two consultants per region<\/strong>, including regional methodologists<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

          Upon successful completion, participants will be eligible to receive the micro-qualification “Consultant in Vocational Programme Development”, along with a certificate from the EdUP project, endorsed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
