The Swisscontact EdUP project team held a strategic roundtable on Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi in the Carpathians.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The event brought together members of the project team and representatives of the business community \u2014 our partners. Among them were: Mykhailo Orlenko, Executive Director of the Association \u201cUkrainian Manufacturers of Translucent Structures\u201d; Serhii Zapetliaiev, Director of LLC \u201cVikna-Star\u201d; Olena Hryb Brand Manager at Apiglorija and Nataliia Kuzora, HR Manager at Herz.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

During the roundtable, the participants discussed two key blocks of issues:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

  1. The new Law of Ukraine \u201cOn Vocational Education\u201d<\/strong>, focusing in particular on:
    \"\ud83d\udd38\" establishing supervisory boards in every vocational institution and strengthening their role in governance;
    \"\ud83d\udd38\" expanding the autonomy of vocational education institutions;
    \"\ud83d\udd38\" promoting vocational professions \u2014 from school students to adults;
    \"\ud83d\udd38\" the need to foster closer cooperation between VET institutions and businesses.<\/p><\/li>

  2. The project\u2019s development dynamics<\/strong>, including its strategic plans for the future. The discussion also touched on what skills and professions Ukraine will need in 5\u201310 years.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t\t\u201cSupervisory boards in VET institutions are a powerful lever of influence from the business side. They help align vocational education with labor market needs, ensuring that VET institutions train specialists required by the economy.\u201d\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t\t\u201cWe closely followed the adoption process of this law and welcome its approval \u2014 it is the right step in the development of vocational education, and it is very important for us. From the perspective of supervisory boards, it is an essential mechanism for control and protection of the funds that businesses \u2014 including ours \u2014 invest in the development of these institutions.\u201d\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    The project expresses its sincere gratitude to the organizers \u2014 Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University\u2014 for making it possible to work and spend time in such a unique location, the astronomical and meteorological observatory on Mount Pip Ivan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
