The EdUP project organized the training “Inclusion as Embracing Diversity in the Educational Environment.”
The event took place from March 10 to 14 in Lviv and brought together 17 psychologists and 8 social educators from 26 vocational education institutions.
A key milestone of the course was the launch of the third module, “Adult Education: Veterans and Internally Displaced Persons in the Educational Environment.” This module covers several crucial aspects, including the impact of war on education, the psychological dimension of veterans’ professional retraining, and the support of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in vocational schools.
One of the central themes of the training focused on working with demobilized military personnel and IDPs. Participants explored new approaches to effectively support these groups, addressing their unique needs and challenges.
To gain a deeper understanding of the real difficulties veterans face, participants visited the Superhumans Rehabilitation Center, which provides physical and psychological rehabilitation for military personnel. Experts at the center highlighted key challenges, including the lack of information about retraining opportunities, the need for career counseling, and access to legal and psychological support. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of guiding veterans toward career paths that do not involve significant physical strain.
This training course reaffirmed that the EdUP project continues to expand its impact in vocational education, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Participants not only acquire new knowledge but also become agents of change within their institutions.
🎯Through such programs, teachers gain the necessary tools to implement modern approaches in their professional practice, ultimately enhancing inclusivity in Ukraine’s vocational education system.
