The EdUP project has launched a series of “Carousel” training tours, designed for vocational instructors to exchange experiences and enhance practical skills. Held in Lviv and Zhytomyr, these events brought together educators and industry representatives to explore innovative approaches in vocational education.
Lviv Tour Highlights
The first tour took place at the Interregional Higher Vocational School of Motor Transport and Construction in Lviv, where 30 instructors specializing in plumbing and welding toured training workshops, digital classrooms, and practical centers. Discussions focused on digital resources, methods to engage students, and ways to foster partnerships with businesses for internships and facility upgrades.
Zhytomyr Tour Highlights
The second tour, held at the Zhytomyr Center for Vocational Education, gathered 30 participants, including instructors, business representatives, and local authorities. They explored the center’s career services and workshops, with insights shared by local officials and vocational leaders on career pathways, interactive teaching methods, and career navigation tools for students. Challenges like administrative processes, industry collaboration, and facility modernization were also addressed.
Outcome
The “Carousel” tours have strengthened collaboration between vocational schools and bysiness, opening new opportunities for students to gain relevant skills and build successful careers. These tours underline the importance of innovation and business partnerships in modernizing vocational education in Ukraine.
