On October 16, the first stage of the three-month program “Career Path: Dream, Plan, Realize!” began in Kyiv for female students in construction professions from 14 educational institutions partnering with the EdUP Project. 

The program involves 28 participants who aspire to develop their own career plans and gain skills for their implementation.

The program consists of three stages:
1. An interactive offline training in Kyiv (October 16-18, 2024).
2. A series of online meetings with entrepreneurs, mentors, and coaches.
3. A final three-day offline training in Kyiv.

The first stage of the program included:

– Creating a trusting environment and helping participants with self-identification.
– Defining personal and professional goals, working with resources, and financial literacy: “Who do I want to become? What do I need to achieve this?”
– Reviewing paths for self-realization, creating a career “roadmap,” and a personal development plan.

 

Participants’ feedback from the training:

Daria Mahera from Kramatorsk, studying painting and plastering, tiling:
“I really enjoy the sessions on self-control, career, and business. They give me the confidence that I can achieve my goals in the future.”

Ivanna Pinchuk from Brovary, studying painting and plastering, and drywall installation:
“We worked on self-awareness: ‘Who am I?’ ‘What are my emotions?’ We discussed our dreams and ways to make them come true. I want to become a master and perhaps take interior design courses.”

Daria Kyrychenko from Poltava, studying painting and plastering, tiling:
“What stood out the most was creating posters about our dreams, which helped me understand myself better. It was useful for visualizing my future.”

Yulia Skichko, the owner of “Alef Stroy,” a construction equipment rental company, visited the training program to motivate and inspire young women pursuing careers in construction.

"It doesn’t matter if you’re a woman or a man – what counts in the job is the quality of work and the results achieved. The key is a professional approach, responsibility, and a willingness to keep developing. Success doesn’t depend on gender but on your effort and skill."

Training achievements:

– The importance of a responsible approach to financial management and financial habits.
– Various career development opportunities within their specialties.

They also gained insights into:
– Tools for managing personal finances.
– Career opportunities in the construction field.
– Tools for managing their careers.

During the training, participants practiced:
– Self-presentation skills.
– Techniques for self-analysis and self-development.
– Goal-setting approaches.
– Skills for preventing financial fraud.
– Job search and analysis.

This first stage laid the foundation for participants’ further development on the path to realizing their professional dreams.
