The EdUP project held a hands-on training conference titled “Modern Technologies in Building Insulation.” The event gathered 30 vocational training instructors from 19 vocational education institutions, along with energy efficiency experts and representatives from leading construction companies, to exchange experiences and acquire new knowledge.

The conference featured both theoretical and practical components.

📌 Day one was dedicated to training modules provided by partner companies, including:

– Polimin – discussing different types of external thermal insulation systems and design fundamentals.

– Sika Ukraine – addressing technological processes and common mistakes in insulation work.

– Association of Foam Plastic Producers of Ukraine – presenting modern materials for external wall insulation.

– Glas Trösch Ukraine and **Ukrainian Association of Transparent Structure Manufacturers** – showcasing innovative transparent constructions for enhanced building energy efficiency.

In addition to technical knowledge, participants received useful advice on developing “soft” skills that are essential for effective collaboration with businesses.

📌 Day two took place at a construction site in Irpin, where instructors had the chance to apply their newly gained knowledge. Working in small groups, participants completed different stages of building insulation, from adhering insulation materials to applying decorative and protective coatings. This practical experience helped reinforce their understanding of modern insulation techniques.

EdUP remains dedicated to advancing professional skills in the construction sector and fostering the development of energy-efficient technologies in Ukraine. The event was supported by the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine and ProfBuild magazine, both of which actively promote vocational education initiatives.
