On 27-28 April 2023, the EdUP project organised the fourth training and practical conference “Innovations in Plumbing Education” in Kyiv.
A total of 38 participants from 21 vocational education institutions participating in the project came to the capital to improve their skills, share experiences, and learn about innovations in the plumbing industry.
Like always, we have prepared an eventful programme:
– 9 practical workshops from companies that manufacture plumbing and heating products;
– 3 theoretical trainings from marketing and communications experts.
Experts from ten leading plumbing companies and the League of Installers spoke about new approaches to water supply, drainage and heating, the use of different types of materials in modern construction, the installation of energy-efficient systems, and more.
On the first day of the conference, business representatives held six practical workshops and 2 theoretical trainings on the following topics:
- three-way motorised valves (HERZ Ukraine);
- elements of solid fuel boilers strapping (HERZ Ukraine);
- underfloor convectors (Kermi Ukraine);
- diamond drilling and installation of wall mounts (milwaukee | stemaks);
- installation of underfloor heating and warm walls (REHAU Ukraine);
- installation of pressed galvanised fittings and pipes (Geberit);
- “Who is the installer”, Alexander Poklyachenko;
- “How to sell engineering solutions”, Gennadiy Pobereznichenko.
The educators were hard at work twisting, installing, replacing and connecting to pass on the new knowledge to their students.
On the second day of the conference, there were four blocks of theory and practice. The trainers conducted training on the following topics: installation of pre-insulated heating mains (Austroisol); solid fuel boilers (Hydromix); thermal accumulators and indirect heating boilers (Hydromix); features of building installation functional diagrams, Oleksandr Poklyachenko.
We thank all our partners, participants and team who made this event truly innovative. Special thanks to the Kyiv Regional Higher Vocational School of Construction for their support and the opportunity to hold the conference in a safe environment!
