A Ukrainian team from the EdUP Project schools participated in the prestigious international welding competition, “Gold Cup Linde 2025,” held in the city of Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic.

Competing against 96 participants from the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Germany, our vocational education students proudly represented Ukraine and demonstrated a high level of technical skill.

The Ukrainian team included:
🔹 Ostap Havrys — Method 311 (Ivano-Frankivsk Vocational Building Lyceum)
🔹 Danyil Berbets — Method 135 (Zaporizhzhia Higher Vocational School “Motorobudivnyk”)
🔹 Vasyl Daukulis — Method 111 (Kovel Center for Vocational Education)
🔹 Yevhenii Panchenko — Method 141 (Dnipro Vocational School of Construction)

Competition Results

  • 🥈 Danyil Berbets won 2nd place among 34 participants in Method 135.

  • Vasyl Daukulis secured 7th place among 22 participants in Method 111.

  • Yevhenii Panchenko finished in 11th place among 19 participants in Method 141.

  • Ostap Havrys placed 15th among 21 participants in Method 311.

In addition, Danyil Berbets achieved a strong result in the virtual welding simulator competition on Soldamatic, ranking 10th among 28 competitors.

Preparation for the Competition

The Ukrainian participants prepared for the competition through a two-stage training program hosted at the Interregional Higher Vocational School of Automotive Transport and Construction in Lviv.

Their ability to compete internationally and achieve strong results was made possible thanks to the support of EdUP’s private sector partners:
