On 30 May 2023, the Professional Skills Competition in the profession of Installer of Plumbing Systems and Equipment 2023, an all-Ukrainian competition designed to promote the plumbing profession in Ukraine, was completed.
The competition was held live from 3 April to 30 May, which has already become an outstanding and long-awaited event in the current context. It was attended by 270 students from 18 vocational education institutions from all over Ukraine.
Specially for the competition, with the support of EdUP partners Grundfos, TECE Ukraine and Caleffi, a unique stand was developed where four participants could compete at once. Geberit provided technical assistance and useful gifts for the participants.
The trainers of the Competition were: Roman Letnyanka, installer, two-time winner of INSTALLFEST UKRAINE, winner of the EURO BATTLE international competition, winner of the Grundfos Installer Championship in Milan, and Anatoliy Yermolenko, installer, technical consultant of the competition.
“We strive to show how important quality plumbing education is in Ukraine and to attract our young people to master their dream profession. This year’s Skills Competition aims to emphasise the value of real professionals for the future of Ukraine,” comments Sonja Loosli, EdUP Project Manager.
