Together with the Association of “Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures”, a training session titled “Mentorship at the Enterprise” was conducted to promote effective approaches to knowledge transfer and employee adaptation in business environments.

Teamwork during the training session

The training was delivered by Larysa Shtefan, HR Lead at Glas Trösch Ukraine and a participant of the pilot mentor training programme, who shared practical experience in implementing mentorship practices within the company.

“For us, mentorship is not only about transferring knowledge. It is about building a culture of support, development, and trust within the company. Our experience has shown that one well-prepared mentor can significantly accelerate employee adaptation, reduce stress for newcomers, and strengthen the effectiveness of the entire team.”

The EdUP project is concluding its mentorship training series, while continuing to provide advisory and informational support to companies that are implementing or planning to introduce mentorship practices at their enterprises. An online course is also planned for launch soon, allowing interested participants to learn practical mentorship tools in a flexible format regardless of their location or work schedule.

“Mentorship is not an additional function, but a strategic tool for business. It helps companies onboard new employees faster and shorten the time needed to reach productivity. Most companies still treat student internships as a formality, while in reality mentorship transforms them into one of the most effective and accessible recruitment tools. It enables businesses to gradually develop specialists tailored to their specific operational needs with minimal risks. During internships, loyalty is built naturally — people tend to choose workplaces where they have already learned and grown professionally. For businesses, this means more effective recruitment, preservation and scaling of internal expertise, and stronger teams that grow together with the company, ensuring long-term resilience and competitiveness.”
